Now go back to your Actions palette and click on the Stop Recording icon at the bottom left of the palette. This will save your first RAW/NEF as a JPEG. Another dialog box will pop up asking you what quality/level of JPEG compression you want to use (Low, Medium, High or Maximum quality I think the scale is 1 to 12). Now go up to the File drop-down menu at the top left of the Photoshop window, and click on "Save As." In the dialog box which pops up, click on the Format drop-down box and choose JPEG. Since JPEGs can only be saved as 8-bit files, go up to Image->Mode, and choose 8 Bits/Channel. In the future, you can do all of them as a batch.) All you have to do is convert this one image to JPEG while you're recording the action, and then you'll be able to repeat it as a batch in order to convert all of the other images to JPEG at one time. This is the only time you'll have to convert a single image before batch processing the rest of them. (By the way, it doesn't matter which image is currently activated or on top right now. (Everything you do from here on will be recorded as part of the new "action" and you can use this over and over again every time you want to convert batches of RAW/NEF photos to JPEGs.) Enter a name for the new action (I would name is something like "Save as JPEG".) Then click on the Record button. Click on the Create New Action icon at the bottom right of the palette (right next to the Trash/Delete icon). This will open all of the images in Photoshop. Then at the bottom right of the window, click on Open Images. ![]() When the raw converter opens, click on Select All at the top left of the window. Select all of them, right click, and then choose "Open in Camera Raw". Open up the images you want to convert in Bridge and put them all in one folder. Any idea how I can batch convert my RAW / NEF files to JPEG? I shoot in RAW / NEF but for posting to flickr and other online places I have to put them out as JPEG.
